As a result of the exams to be held in three different departments of the conservatory, a total of 90 students will be entitled to study, with 30 students in the Turkish Folk Dances Department, 40 in the Music Technology Department, and 20 in the Turkish Music Department.
In the talent exam, which had a very high participation, young people showcased all their talents on stage and in exam halls to become MAKÜ students. The young candidates, whose excitement was evident in their eyes, were not left alone by their families, who supported them throughout the exam.
Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, who visited the talent exams on-site, shared in the excitement by chatting with students and their families. Rector Dalgar, who gave morale and motivation to the young people, said, “Seeing talented young people at our university makes us happy.” In his speech, Rector Dalgar noted the following:
“Each young person we see here is actually the artists of the future, the shining stars of stages, studios, and orchestras. This exam is just a beginning; the real journey will be shaped by the efforts of each student who steps through this door. Regardless of the exam result, we, as Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, always keep our doors open to all young people devoted to art. Because we believe that if talent is supported, it grows, and art gains value when shared. Your determination increases our responsibility. I congratulate you all and wish your path to be bright.”
Rector Dalgar’s words relieved both the students experiencing pre-exam stress and their families watching them with excitement.
